“Please, everyone, take a seat,” Washington addressed the audience following the film screening. “This is completely unexpected for me, and I’m feeling quite emotional. From the depths of my heart, I thank you all. It’s been a wonderful experience to collaborate with my brother once again, my brother from another mother, Spike.”
Washington further expressed, “Being here once more in Cannes, we are indeed a fortunate group in this room, as we get to create films, don tuxedos and stylish attire, and receive compensation for it. We’re incredibly blessed, and I am profoundly grateful to you all. Thank you.”
