Chennai, Dec 12 (NationPress) Actor and director Dhanush unveiled the captivating trailer for director Suresh Rajakumari's film 'Sirai', featuring Vikram Prabhu and L K Akshay Kumar in the lead roles.

The film is produced by the renowned S S Lalit Kumar under Seven Screen Studios.

In a post on their timeline on X, Seven Screen Studios announced, "#Sirai Trailer out now! A powerful milestone, marking @iamvikramprabhu’s 25th film. Starring #VikramPrabhu, @lk_akshaykumar, @iamanishma, and @t_ananda98. Set to hit worldwide theaters on December 25."

The newly released trailer opens with Vikram Prabhu, portraying a cop assigned the duty of escorting a prisoner named Abdul Rauf to the Sivagangai court.

Accompanied by two fellow officers, Vikram Prabhu begins the journey with the prisoner in tow.

The trailer depicts the prisoner pleading with Vikram Prabhu to avoid handcuffing him during the transfer from the bus stand to the court. However, the officers stand firm, stating that those who commit murders must be handcuffed and dragged through the streets. "You should have considered this before committing a murder," they assert.

As the trailer unfolds, it becomes evident that Abdul’s predicament stems from his girlfriend, who is facing her own challenges at home. In a shocking turn, Abdul manages to escape from police custody, armed with one of their rifles. The officers are now faced with a dire choice: recapture Abdul or risk spending their lives in prison...

The film's narrative, inspired by real-life events, comes from director Tamizh, known for the critically acclaimed 'Taanakaran'. It is believed that Tamizh drew from personal experiences to craft this story.

Suresh Rajakumari, a co-director under the esteemed Vetrimaran, has both written and directed this film.

In the lead role, Vikram Prabhu stars alongside Anantha, while the film also marks the acting debut of L K Akshay Kumar, son of producer SS Lalit Kumar. Actress Anishma stars opposite Akshay Kumar.

Sources indicate that producer S S Lalit Kumar has invested significantly in this high-budget film, which features an outstanding technical crew.

The film's music score is crafted by the renowned Justin Prabhakaran, with cinematography by Madesh Manickam and editing handled by the industry’s best, Philomin Raj. Stunt choreography is executed by Prabhu. The production also includes Arun K and Manikandan as executive producers.

Filming took place in various locations, including Chennai, Sivagangai, and Vellore, and has now reached the final stages of post-production.
