While discussing the film, Ashwin remarked, 'I genuinely enjoyed the film. It was incredibly gripping. In today's era, being able to watch a film without checking one's phone is quite an achievement. I was completely engrossed and did not reach for my phone once. The acting was outstanding — from Vikram (Prabhu) and Akshay (Kumar) to the entire cast. The narrative of the film, inspired by true events, was crafted by director Tamizh, known for his critically lauded film 'Taanakaran'. Tamizh is believed to have developed this story based on a personal experience.

Director Suresh Rajakumari, who has worked as a co-director under the well-known Vetrimaran, has both written and directed this film.

In 'Sirai', Vikram Prabhu takes on the lead role, with actress Anantha playing opposite him. This film also marks the acting debut of producer SS Lalit Kumar's son, L K Akshay Kumar, alongside actress Anishma as his partner.
