Chennai, Dec 23 (NationPress) Renowned filmmaker Vetrimaaran has revealed that his assistant director Suresh Rajakumari, now stepping into the director's role with the upcoming police drama 'Sirai', is known for his fairness and remarkable skills in people management. He shared a story that highlights these qualities.

At the pre-release event for 'Sirai', which stars Vikram Prabhu and newcomer L K Akshay in leading roles, Vetrimaaran stated, "Suresh is an incredibly balanced individual. You won't find anyone else like him. In any circumstance, he approaches it with calmness and patience. He prioritizes ethics and fairness, standing firm on what is right. Even if I am in the wrong, he won’t overlook it just because it’s me. His people management skills are exceptional. The producer is gifting him a car, which I believe is a testament to his ability to handle stress and manage relationships effectively, contributing to the film's success."

He continued to recount an incident that showcased Suresh’s conflict resolution talents. "There was a situation where one of my office staff was attacked by a group of local youths over a minor issue. When Suresh learned of this, instead of escalating it to me—which could have led to my reprimanding the office boy or involving the police—he chose a more constructive route. He spoke with the office boy first, and then brought him face-to-face with the assailants, facilitating a discussion that resolved the matter amicably. I only learned about this from others, not from him directly."

Vetrimaaran expressed his satisfaction with the film's positive reception, noting that its pacing—particularly challenging for procedural movies—was executed well.

The film is produced by the esteemed S S Lalit Kumar under Seven Screen Studios.

Inspired by true events, the script was crafted by director Tamizh, acclaimed for the film 'Taanakaran', who based the story on his personal experience.

In 'Sirai', Vikram Prabhu portrays the lead character, while actress Anantha plays his love interest. This film will also mark the acting debut of L K Akshay Kumar, the son of producer SS Lalit Kumar, with Anishma as his co-star.

Music for the film is composed by well-known music director Justin Prabhakaran. The cinematography is handled by Madesh Manickam, and editing by the highly regarded Philomin Raj. Stunt sequences are choreographed by Prabhu, while executive producers include Arun K and Manikandan.

Filming locations included Chennai, Sivagangai, and Vellore. 'Sirai' is set to premiere on December 25 this year.
