Mumbai, June 14 (NationPress) Actress Dipika Kakar has been released from the hospital after an 11-day stay. She announced that she is tumour-free, although further treatment is anticipated in the near future.
Dipika took to Instagram to share images from her hospital experience, posing with the doctors and staff who provided her with exceptional care during her stay.
In her post, she expressed: “After 11 days here, I’m finally home… Tumour-free… but this is just one phase of my treatment completed… more to come, and I have faith that I will overcome that too, just as I said earlier (sic).”
She noted that the last 11 days were challenging.
“However, with the wonderful people around me, things went smoothly… there was pain, but it was handled with immense warmth by everyone at #kokilabenhospital.
Dipika expressed her gratitude to Dr. Somnath Chatopadhyay and his team—Dr. Kanchan, Dr. Neha, Dr. Sanket, Dr. Manek, and Dr. Kavita. “Not only are they outstanding doctors but also incredible human beings! Good treatment, especially when delivered with love and empathy, can accelerate recovery and provide a tremendous boost of strength to the patient” (sic).
She also thanked all the nurses and staff who attended to her, including Dr. Sharmeela (anaesthetist), Dr. Bushra (ICU doctor), Sister Akshara, Nupur, Pragati, Shasheeka (ICU nurses), Sister Anupama, Ashna, and Sister Jijin (ward nurses), along with all the female support staff. “I will be forever grateful to you all for the love and care that helped me recover and return home” (sic).

In a heartfelt message on Instagram, she shared: “As you all know, the past few weeks have been quite tough… I went to the hospital due to pain in my upper abdomen and discovered a tumour the size of a tennis ball in my liver, which turned out to be stage two malignant (cancerous)… this has been one of the most challenging periods we've faced!”
