Los Angeles, March 10 (NationPress) Rap artist Doja Cat has expressed her dissatisfaction with actor Timothee Chalamet. She believes the actor still has much to learn.

The 30-year-old musician took to TikTok to address the 30-year-old Oscar-nominated actor's contentious remarks, where he stated that “no one cares” about ballet and opera, as reported by People magazine.

In the now-removed TikTok clip, Doja Cat appeared to be preparing for her day while wrapped in a towel.

“Hey, by the way, opera has been around for 400 years, and ballet for 500 years,” said Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini. “Someone named Tim-oh-tay Cha-lam-et had the audacity, big guy, to say, on camera, that nobody cares about it.”

According to People, the Grammy-winning artist emphasized the importance of etiquette and respect associated with ballet and opera.

“You could walk into an opera theater right now, and the seats would be filled with an audience that is quiet during the performance because of the respect it commands,” she stated. “There’s a certain decorum around opera and ballet. It’s an incredible art form. It’s absolutely beautiful, and people attend these performances every single day.”

In response to Chalamet’s assertion about the challenges faced by these art forms, Doja Cat remarked, “It doesn’t matter if the industry faces difficulties, as many industries do. Your field has its struggles, mine does too. That doesn’t mean people don’t care. People do care. The dancers care, the singers care, and the audience cares. There is still an audience.”

She concluded her message to Chalamet with, “People give a f***. You arrive dressed well, sit down, and maybe learn some decorum. That’s the usual etiquette for these events.”

Chalamet has faced backlash since his comments went viral on February 24, during a discussion with former co-star Matthew McConaughey.
