Los Angeles, Feb 23 (NationPress) English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that his upcoming single draws inspiration from his wife Cherry Seaborn.

The 'Shape of You' star, who shares daughters Lyra, aged four, and Jupiter, aged two, with his partner, is gearing up for the launch of 'Azizam', a Persian term of affection that translates to "my dear" or "my beloved". He recently filmed a music video for the track with comedian Omid Djalili in south London, as reported by ‘Female First UK’.

A source informed The Sun on Sunday newspaper's Bizarre column, “Ed is eager for fans to listen to the new song, especially since it reflects his love for Cherry. A significant budget has been allocated for the video, featuring a beautiful wedding scene alongside Omid. They all had a fantastic time shooting the video and are excited to share it with the world.”

While a release date for the track is still unconfirmed, reports suggest it could become a “summer smash hit”.

According to ‘Female First UK’, on Valentine’s Day, the 34-year-old musician posted a picture of Cherry, accompanied by a red heart emoji and the caption “Azizam”.

Earlier this month, Ed appeared to confirm that his next album would be titled 'Play'. The 'Castle on the Hill' artist has previously released a series of albums with mathematical symbols such as ‘+’, ‘x’, ‘÷’, ‘=’, and ‘-’. After a fan inquired if he would be releasing another similarly-themed project, he hinted that his next studio work, following 2023's 'Autumn Variations', would be 'Play'.

A fan commented on a post by Memezar about the Grammy winner updating his profile picture on social media, questioning, “What math is he going to do next?”.

Ed humorously replied, “Ironically, if you ask me anything math-related, I would fail the question; I never finished high school.”

He also teased, “Play is coming soon though.” This isn’t the first time the 'Bad Habits' artist has suggested that 'Play' will be his next album. He previously wrote online, “See you sometime next year when we press Play again on pop, and wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season x.”

The musician has confirmed that his next record is already complete.
