Mumbai, April 4 (NationPress) English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has unveiled his new track 'Azizam'.
As he released the first single from his forthcoming album 'Play', Sheeran expressed on his Instagram, "Azizam is now available. I’m truly amazed by the positive feedback on this song and can’t wait to reveal more surprises. I hope this becomes the soundtrack for your summer; more is on the way xx."
The 'Eyes Closed' artist shared insights about the meaning of 'Azizam'. In a conversation with Mark Wright and Olly Murs on Heart Breakfast, he described the essence of his latest creation.
He elaborated, "It’s a term from a language called Farsi, which translates to ‘my dear.’ The producer I collaborated with, Ilya, is Persian, and while we were crafting the music, he suggested we incorporate elements from Persian culture."
Discussing his desire to step outside his comfort zone, Sheeran remarked, "It was exhilarating to explore something entirely different. It’s uncommon at this stage in my career to feel this level of excitement for uncharted territory, and it felt refreshingly new. I’m curious to see how audiences respond, as everyone I shared it with was like ‘wow, that’s unique,’ which is precisely the reaction I’m seeking right now."
