Mumbai, April 6 (NationPress) Producer Ektaa Kapoor has disclosed that Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar once returned her payment after a previous project failed to perform well at the box office.
At the trailer launch event for the anticipated horror-comedy ‘Bhooth Bangla’ held in the city on Monday, she shared insights with the media about the actor's remarkable integrity and kindness.
She recounted, “Many people are unaware of this, but he returned the cheque, stating, ‘You incurred losses due to this film.’ I was taken aback; such actions are rare. After 31 years in the industry, I have not witnessed anyone doing that. He simply handed me the cheque and said, ‘Here you go.’ I insisted he would have to collaborate with me again, and that’s how this film came to fruition.”
In the meantime, the trailer for ‘Bhooth Bangla’ was officially launched on Monday. This film reunites Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav.
The cast also features Tabu, Jisshu Sengupta, Asrani, and Mithila Palkar. Previously, the production team decided to alter the release date of the film.
