Mumbai, April 9 (NationPress) Renowned Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who is preparing for the launch of his forthcoming horror comedy Bhooth Bangla, encountered an injury while executing a thrilling stunt for the movie.
On Thursday, the production team unveiled a behind-the-scenes video showcasing Akshay, famed for his daring stunts, as he attempted a spectacular jump kick in mid-air.
Unfortunately, he lost his balance upon landing and fell, resulting in an injury.
Akshay recently expressed his strong opposition to the usage of VFX and AI, arguing that they detract from the genuine excitement of action sequences, rendering them artificial. He emphasized his preference for performing real stunts, believing it enhances the audience's experience by showcasing genuine effort and authenticity.
The cast also includes Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Rajpal Yadav, and Wamiqa Gabbi. Initially set to premiere on April 10, the film's release date was adjusted to April 16, as announced by the filmmakers on April 2.
Co-producer Ektaa Kapoor shared on Instagram that the delay was due to the impressive reception of Ranveer Singh's film Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

The film is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, a branch of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, in partnership with Cape of Good Films.
Directed by Priyadarshan, the movie is co-produced by Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, and Ektaa R Kapoor, and is poised to debut in theaters on April 16.
