  • Highlighting the evolution of male characters

New Delhi, April 24 (NationPress) Renowned television actor Fahmaan Khan emphasized the necessity of depicting male characters as larger-than-life figures, showcasing both physical strength and mental resilience in TV serials.

When asked how he envisions the representation of male characters, Fahmaan shared with IANS: “I believe it's time to embrace a more extravagant approach. Let's elevate them to a larger-than-life status as well.”

He advocates for storytelling that delves into a variety of character types, merging human fragility with remarkable power.

“While it's important to portray them as relatable, there's also room for a different depiction of male characters. They could embody qualities akin to a Baahubali, not literally but as individuals who are strong and resilient enough to conquer the world with their mental strength. This should coexist with portrayals that capture the essence of human nature,” he elaborated.

He continued, expressing that there are myriad ways to depict men in television.

“I just believe that there are numerous avenues to explore when depicting characters on screen. This applies to both male and female characters. It ultimately comes down to storytelling and accurately conveying the vision that writers and creators have. So, if possible, let’s experiment with something fresh for a while,” stated Fahmaan.

Speaking of the actor, the 34-year-old began his career with a cameo in Yeh Vaada Raha in 2015, followed by another cameo in Kundali Bhagya in 2018.

He has appeared in notable roles in Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka, Ishq Mein Marjawan, and Mere Dad Ki Dulhan from 2017 to 2020. Fahmaan gained significant recognition through his leading performances in shows such as Apna Time Bhi Aayega, Imlie, Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatnii, Krishna Mohini, and Iss Ishq Ka Rabb Rakha.
