Mumbai, May 9 (NationPress) Actress Falaq Naaz has made a significant statement, openly criticizing her fellow Muslim actors in the entertainment sector for their silence during the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions.

In a poignant video, Falaq voiced her disappointment, questioning why some celebrities have chosen not to publicly support India during escalating conflicts. She highlighted that many of these actors, afraid of backlash from their audience, particularly from neighboring nations like Pakistan, have opted for silence even as the country faces pressing challenges. Falaq stressed that their unwillingness to advocate for their nation has fueled increasing mistrust between communities.

In the video, she underscored that it is crucial for celebrities to demonstrate loyalty to India, the nation that has contributed to their success and fame. The ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ actress pointed out the contradiction in their behavior, noting how these celebrities swiftly comment on various issues but remain mute regarding national security or supporting India in tough times. She urged her colleagues to take cues from Pakistani actors, who, despite their country’s involvement in the conflict, continue to publicly back their nation.

In the video shared across her social media platforms, Falaq stated, “Salam, namaste everyone. I hope everyone watching this video is doing well. As the situation in India unfolds, I pray for everyone's well-being. Honestly, I didn’t want to create this video. But I couldn't hold back. I am deeply saddened and frustrated. I am angry at my fellow Muslim actors. They are not speaking out. Perhaps due to fears of their targeted audience, which includes followers from neighboring countries like Pakistan. They worry that their reach and followers on Instagram and other platforms might diminish.”

“I wonder why our Hindu brothers and sisters in this country are struggling to trust Muslims. I can now comprehend their sentiments. They find it hard to trust us because, during such critical times, my so-called Muslim brothers and sisters in the industry, at least some of them, opt for silence. I cannot speak for others, but particularly in this industry, they don’t voice their opinions during such moments.”

Naaz continued, “It’s essential to earn their trust. Perhaps this is why they are cautious around our community. It saddens me. You proclaim loudly as Muslims that no one is greater than us. But as a Muslim, it is said that first, you must love your country, and only then should you consider everything else. So, where is that love? Where is that passion? If you are so preoccupied with the people of Pakistan, let me remind you to learn from the Pakistani actors—renowned figures who have built their careers in India, gained immense fame, and have numerous followers. They still support their nation. Why aren’t you doing the same?”
