Mumbai, Oct 31 (NationPress) Renowned filmmaker Farah Khan recently made a visit to the residence of actor Rajat Bedi as part of her entertaining YouTube series where she explores celebrity homes while engaging in a delightful cooking segment and sharing amusing gossip.
During a lively conversation with Rajat, Farah disclosed that Aryan Khan, the creator of the acclaimed web series The Ba*ds of Bollywood and son of Shah Rukh Khan, is a tremendous admirer of Rajat's work and has been captivated by the actor since he was a child.
“I inquired of Aryan what influenced his choice of you (Rajat) for the character of Jaraj Saxena in Ba*ds of Bollywood. Aryan revealed that he has been a long-time fan of you and your characters and was particularly taken by your famous line, 'Sabki izzat karenge toh loonege kiski,' from your film Jaani Dushman,” Farah recounted to Rajat.
She added, “After hearing all of this, I felt delighted that 'humara ladka family nikla' (Our boy has turned out to be filmy).” For those unaware, Rajat Bedi, who has relocated to Canada, shared that he received a call from Aryan’s office indicating that the young director wished to meet him. “I was astonished and couldn't believe that Shah Rukh Khan's son wanted to meet me of all people. 'I literally inched myself,' Rajat expressed while speaking with Farah.
He went on to describe their initial encounter, stating, “Aryan personally welcomed me at his office and ensured my comfort. I was truly impressed by his humility.” Farah chimed in, “Aryan is the most courteous young man I have encountered.”
Rajat Bedi, recognized for his roles in films such as Koi… Mil Gaya, International Khiladi, Hero: The Love Story of a Spy, and Jaani Dushman, has frequently been cast in negative or supporting roles. Yet, in Aryan Khan's debut series, he portrayed a complex and gritty character that critiques the film industry's hypocrisy and its darker aspects.
Through his performance as Jaraj Saxena, Rajat delivered one of his finest portrayals, adding depth and intensity to the narrative. The web series, which also marks Aryan Khan's debut, has been receiving excellent reviews.
