Mumbai, Nov 9 (NationPress) Actor Rajat Bedi, who recently appeared in Aryan Khan's directorial debut, ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’, expressed that the challenges he encountered have significantly improved his acting abilities.
In a conversation with IANS after the film's success, which is the first project directed by Shah Rukh Khan's eldest son, Aryan Khan, Rajat reflected on his struggles in securing acting roles, including missing out on a part in the Salman Khan film ‘Radhe’.
He recounted, “I received a call from Salman bhai's team while they were working on ‘Radhe’. They wanted me for a specific role. When Salman bhai saw me on set, he asked why I was there. I explained that his office had contacted me regarding a role in ‘Radhe’. He said, ‘You are not going to do it. I will give you something better.’ I was sincerely touched that he spared me from a role that might not have suited my personality.”
Rajat continued, “He kindly told me to wait, assuring me he would provide me with something superior. Then came the pandemic, and eventually, I received Aryan's offer in December 2022. My journey resumed from there. In retrospect, I believe the hardships I faced shaped me into a better actor.”
“I’ve encountered numerous challenges throughout my career. The real-life experiences I underwent have, in a way, enhanced my performance and acting skills. The pain I felt found its way into my work on the show,” he concluded.
