Mumbai, Oct 18 (NationPress) Actor Rajat Bedi, who recently made his return with the Aryan Khan-directed 'The Ba*ds of Bollywood', discussed how he maintained a positive outlook during times when nothing seemed to progress. After relocating to Canada, he has returned to Bollywood after a span of 20 years.
In a recent interview with IANS, the actor elaborated on his fitness routine, his time in what he refers to as “cold storage,” and his overall well-being.
He shared, “The good part was I have kept myself fit at all times. It's my hobby working out and being fit. Being in Canada, the climate has also been quite favorable. It feels like I have emerged from cold storage. People ask me, ‘How did you maintain yourself?’ I tell them I was in cold storage (laughs). They took me out of cold storage and brought me back.”
Bedi added, “This journey has taught me a lot, especially through the ups and downs of the last 20 years. Regardless of the challenges, it has been a beautiful journey filled with both pain and joy. This opportunity has led to significant personal growth. I had my share of immaturity in making decisions in the past. This experience will guide my son's future as well. My failures have become stepping stones for me.”
Previously, Bedi revealed that Aryan Khan, the director of the show, and his friends have been long-time fans of 'Koi Mil Gaya'. In the recently launched streaming series, he portrays the role of a ‘has-been’ star, directed by Aryan, the son of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan.
He also clarified a previous statement regarding Rakesh Roshan that had been misunderstood.
Bedi remarked, “Aryan and many of his associates have been fans of 'Koi Mil Gaya' since childhood, and I feel very fortunate that Rakesh Roshan gave me the opportunity to be part of that film. I did feel a bit disheartened after the film. But when you consider my entire journey, it's largely thanks to 'Koi Mil Gaya'. Even today, people ask me, ‘You were in the Alien film, right? You broke Rohit's cycle, right?’. It remains one of the most iconic and beloved films among audiences.”
'The Ba*ds of Bollywood' is available for streaming on Netflix.
