Mumbai, Oct 14 (NationPress) Actor Rajat Bedi, who has made his return with ‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood’, disclosed that the director of the series, Aryan Khan, and his companions are avid enthusiasts of ‘Koi Mil Gaya’.
In the recently launched streaming series, Rajat plays the role of a ‘former star’, directed by Aryan, the son of iconic Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan.
Rajat engaged in a conversation with IANS in the Bandra West locality of Mumbai after the show's success. He also addressed the misunderstandings around his previous comments regarding Rakesh Roshan.
He mentioned to IANS, “Both Aryan and many of his associates were fans of ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ during their childhood, and I'm deeply grateful that Rakesh Roshan provided me the chance to participate in that film. While I did feel a bit disheartened post the film, my entire journey owes a lot to ‘Koi Mil Gaya’. Even now, people often recall, ‘You starred in the alien film, didn’t you? You broke Rohit's cycle, right?’ It remains one of the most beloved films among audiences.”
He continued, “When Aryan and his peers grew up watching ‘Koi Mil Gaya’, Aryan was certain that for this character in his Bollywood-themed project, he wanted me on board. He likely recognized my relevance at that moment. Following a 20-year hiatus, Aryan rediscovered me. What greater blessing could there be? It’s remarkable how the universe responds when you ask for something. I was anticipating a comeback, and Aryan made that happen.”
‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood’ is now available for streaming on Netflix.
