Mumbai, June 12 (NationPress) Actress Fatima Sana Shaikh, who eagerly anticipates the premiere of her forthcoming film ‘Metro... In Dino’, recounted a captivating experience from the film’s shooting.
In an interview with IANS prior to the film’s release, she explained how she had to switch into character almost instantaneously. One moment, she was indulging in chips during a break, and with the director’s call for a scene, she hastily swallowed her snack, ready to perform.
Fatima shared with IANS, “During a scene where I needed to walk and cry, if you’ve seen the trailer, there’s a segment featuring Pritam da and Papon. While everything was unfolding, the camera was positioned quite far. However, with a zoom lens, they could capture every detail.”
She added, “I was munching on chips while the others prepared for the scene. I was unaware, and it took some time for them to inform me they were ready. I had to burst into tears right after eating chips. When Dada said, ‘Rolling,’ I thought, ‘Oh no,’ and quickly gulped down the chips before starting to cry. It’s not every day you get to perform on cue like that; it’s only possible with him.”
This marks Fatima's second collaboration with Anurag for ‘Metro... In Dino’, having previously worked together in ‘Ludo’.
She previously clarified some misconceptions regarding the director, stating that he has a clear vision of what he desires.
Fatima commented to IANS, “I truly enjoy working with him. There seems to be a misunderstanding; he is extremely organized. On set, a whole day can pass in just 5-6 hours. We never shoot overtime. He’s remarkably quick, able to film 4-5 significant scenes in a day, which is quite challenging especially in large productions where the cast is extensive.”
She further noted that Anurag is incredibly efficient and knows exactly what he wants, saying, “It may take time, but he’s highly productive and doesn’t waste time figuring things out. He knows his shots.”
Produced by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in collaboration with Anurag Basu Productions Pvt. Ltd., ‘Metro In Dino’ is set to hit cinemas on July 4, 2025.
