Mumbai, Feb 13 (NationPress) Acclaimed actress Halle Berry shared that her forthcoming movie Crime 101 honors women who refuse to be belittled, expressing her emotional pride as its release approaches.

In a heartfelt Instagram video, Berry described the film as one of the most significant endeavors of her three-decade career.

She captioned her post: “I am incredibly proud to be associated with #Crime101. This has been one of the finest filmmaking experiences in my 30 years in the industry! I hope you enjoy it!”

While waiting for her son during soccer practice, the actress reflected on the film set to release on February 13, just ahead of Valentine’s Day. She expressed feeling “a bit emotional and proud” about the project and conveyed gratitude for collaborating with “fantastic actors” and a director she labeled as a “mensch of a human being.”

“I just sat here and felt somewhat emotional and, um, proud. I am incredibly proud of this film. I had the opportunity to work alongside an amazing group of actors and our director... men who were mensch of human beings, you know, who took care of me and respected me,” she remarked.

Berry discussed her character, Sharon Coombs, stating the role resonates with women traversing what she calls the “path of life.”

“As I navigate through life, I find that I have no more Fs to give, and I feel emotional because, among all the projects I have undertaken, this one makes me exceptionally proud,” she added.

“The character I portray, Sharon Coombs, truly represents every woman on that journey.”

The actress, who frequently emphasizes empowering women in midlife, highlighted how her character stands firm for herself and refuses to be diminished.

“As you all know, my passion and mission in my second act is to transform the lives of women, especially those navigating their own paths. This character is for every woman because she genuinely stands up for herself,” she stated.

Berry reiterated her commitment to empowering women in their midlife and beyond, emphasizing that her character embodies resilience.

“I hope that as we all navigate through life, we find our courage, refuse to be diminished, and continually voice our truths, reminding the world that we are not done at 45, 50, 60, 75, or even 80, 90,” she emphasized.

“I would argue that as long as we are here, we have a purpose, and we matter. So, if you're looking for a memorable date night this weekend, gather your friends and head to the cinema for a thrilling adult crime caper filled with fantastic action. And you know I adore a good action film,” she concluded.
