They shared a caption that read, "First-years, step forward. The HBO Original Harry Potter series is now in production".
In addition, fans were treated to a sneak peek of actor Dominic McLaughlin portraying Harry Potter.
McLaughlin was photographed wearing the iconic Hogwarts uniform, complete with the famous Harry Potter glasses. He was seen holding a clapperboard on the set of "The Harry Potter reboot", stepping into the immense legacy left by actor Daniel Radcliffe, who is cherished as Harry Potter by an entire generation.
The "Harry Potter reboot" series draws inspiration from J.K. Rowling’s beloved books of the same name.
As McLaughlin takes on the role of the young wizard, Arabella Stanton will play Hermione, Alastair Stout will portray Ron, John Lithgow will assume the role of Dumbledore, Janet McTeer will be McGonagall, Nick Frost will represent Hagrid, and Paapa Essiedu will play Snape.
The cast will also feature Rory Wilmot, Amos Kitson, Louise Brealey, and Anton Lesser in significant roles, among others.
Under the guidance of showrunner Francesca Gardiner, J.K. Rowling is involved as an executive producer, collaborating closely with the writing team.
Rowling took to her X (formerly Twitter) account, stating, “I read the first two episodes of the forthcoming HBO Harry Potter series and they are SO, SO, SO GOOD!”
It’s worth noting that HBO first announced the "Harry Potter Reboot" in 2023, revealing plans for a “decade-long series” that will encompass all seven of J.K. Rowling’s books.
