Hrithik Roshan: I Prefer to Stay Out of the Spotlight

Mumbai, Jan 10 (NationPress) Bollywood icon Hrithik Roshan shared that he does not seek the spotlight; however, he recognized that the upcoming documentary is not centered around him, but instead narrates the history of his family.
“Upon viewing this documentary, I was genuinely astonished. It has been directed with such finesse…” Hrithik, who celebrated his 51st birthday on Friday, remarked during the press conference for the upcoming film.
He disclosed that he has never met his grandfather.
“I ponder about the possibility of having a magical conversation with him. After watching the documentary, I would genuinely want to inquire about his childhood and the experiences he faced. I wonder what questions he might have for me. Perhaps he would ask me, ‘Are you happy?’” he reflected.
Hrithik credits the inspiration for his debut film “Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai,” which debuted in 2000.
“I would like to thank him because I frequently contemplate the motivation I had while making my first film. What was it? Where did it originate? The simplest explanation is that it was always within me—it was something that was passed down…”
Known as the Greek God of Bollywood due to his captivating appearance, Hrithik admitted his aversion to attention.
“When my father expressed his desire to create this documentary, I initially felt embarrassed. I dislike being the center of attention, but then I realized this narrative is not about me. This is about history—my ancestors, my parents, my grandfather, and my uncle. This history resides in my cells, which fueled my ambition,” he shared.
“Their stories have deeply inspired me… It motivated me to such an extent that I felt unstoppable. The true essence of this documentary lies in its potential to inspire other cinema enthusiasts and individuals around the globe…”
When asked what he would like to share with his grandfather, Hrithik said: “I would love to present my son’s compositions to him, which emerged from virtually nothing, possibly a trait passed down through our genes. Maybe it’s a gift from him.”
The upcoming Netflix series chronicles the challenges and achievements of the legendary Roshan family in Bollywood, including musician Roshan Lal Nagrath, Rajesh, Rakesh, and Hrithik.
