Mumbai, June 1 (NationPress) Bollywood actress Ileana D’Cruz, who is currently busy with diapers and baby bum cream, revealed that she was approached to reprise her role in the Ajay Devgn-led film ‘Raid 2’. Unfortunately, due to her recent motherhood, they couldn't finalize the schedule.
In a recent Q&A session held early Sunday, a fan expressed their longing for Ileana's presence in “Raid 2” and Indian cinema. The fan also inquired about her plans for a comeback.
Ileana responded, stating: “I miss being part of films too, and I would have loved to join the cast of Raid 2. The original Raid was significant to me, and Malini was such a meaningful character to portray. Collaborating with my director Raj Kumar Gupta was a delightful experience, as was working alongside Ajay again,” she mentioned.
The actress continued, “The production team for Raid 2 did extend an offer to me, but unfortunately, we couldn't coordinate our schedules since I just had my baby, and my priorities have shifted.” She previously played Malini Pathak in the 2018 film “Raid”.
In May 2023, Ileana tied the knot with her partner Michael Dolan and welcomed their first child, a son, in August 2023.
She also expressed her admiration for Vaani Kapoor, who starred in the latest installment.
“That being said, I think Vaani looked stunning in all the promotional material I've seen, and I believe she brought her own lovely charm to her role. I hope that clears up any confusion,” Ileana stated.
When asked by another user about her absence from the silver screen, she humorously replied: “Because I'm busy with diapers and baby bum cream.”
Discussing the joys and challenges of motherhood, she shared: “It’s the hardest thing I've ever undertaken. It wasn’t what I expected—it's all-consuming and 24/7 with no days off. But seeing my little one smile or just being a happy, healthy boy makes me feel like a superwoman,” she expressed.
In response to another question about her experience during pregnancy, she noted, “I initially struggled to accept help because I wanted everything done a certain way for my baby. While you believe you know what's best for your child, sometimes you need a moment to recharge too.”
