Mumbai, Nov 7 (NationPress) Bollywood star Ishaan Khatter is currently enjoying a holiday in New York City, and he's jokingly mentioned that he is “surviving on cookies.”

On his Instagram stories, Ishaan shared a video of himself munching on a cookie, humorously captioning it: “Made it to NYC, at this point surviving on cookies.”

He also posted a cheerful picture of himself, smiling and captioned it: “Resigned smile of a traveller.”

Having recently celebrated his 30th birthday on November 1, Ishaan expressed that this year has been particularly significant for him, sharing memorable moments from his birthday festivities on social media.

“Danced into my 30s ❤️ thank you ALL for the love. It’s been a very special year and your love makes it even more special. Doubling it and sending it back 🙌🏼 (sic),” he expressed gratitude for the warm wishes.

His recent project is Neeraj Ghaywan’s “Homebound,” produced by Dharma Productions. The film narrates the journey of two childhood friends from a small village in North India who aspire to become police officers, seeking the respect they never had. As they near their goal, the pressures of life challenge their friendship.

The film, featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa, premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, receiving an impressive nine-minute standing ovation.

With the film being selected as India’s official entry for the 2025 Oscars in the Best International Feature Film category, Ishaan's brother, Shahid Kapoor, congratulated him on the overwhelming love and recognition for his outstanding performance.

Shahid expressed his pride, stating, “This boy is an artist that’s homebound. @ishaankhatter, I am so proud of you. It’s a joy to witness your growth as an actor and your honest expression. You are evolving, and I can't express how proud I feel. Go show them what you got. Always your proudest cheerleader ❤️ (sic).”
