For those who may not know, Superstar Rajinikanth has completed the filming for Jailer 2.

The film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, has generated immense excitement among fans and movie enthusiasts for several reasons.

One key factor is that 'Jailer 2' is expected to deliver plenty of action and entertainment, akin to its predecessor, which became a blockbuster, grossing an astonishing 650 crores globally. The first installment, which debuted to favorable reviews, had a remarkable start. In fact, the film’s overseas distributor Ayngaran International confirmed that it earned a staggering 33 crores on its opening day, marking the highest in Superstar Rajinikanth’s illustrious career!

Insiders suggest that 'Jailer 2' is progressing well, mirroring the success of 'Jailer 1'.

It’s worth noting that Superstar Rajinikanth celebrated his 75th birthday on the set of 'Jailer 2' last year.

Filming for the sequel commenced in Chennai, with Sun Pictures announcing the start date as March 10 of the previous year.

Interest surged when Sun Pictures released an engaging teaser that was both humorous and exciting.

Shortly thereafter, actress Ramya Krishnan shared her experience on her first day of filming for the sequel in Attapadi, Kerala.

She commented, “26 years of Padayappa and the first day shoot of Jailer 2.”

Ramya Krishnan portrays Vijaya Pandian, affectionately known as Viji, the wife of Rajinikanth’s character Muthuvel Pandian in the film.

Additionally, sources reveal that actress Mirnaa, who plays Swetha Pandian, Rajinikanth’s daughter-in-law, will also play a significant role in the sequel. Notably, Mohanlal and Vijay Sethupathi have also filmed parts for 'Jailer 2'.

Anirudh, whose music was pivotal in making the first film a blockbuster, is also composing the score for the sequel.
