Mumbai, Nov 18 (NationPress) Actor Jaideep Ahlawat revealed how a single phone call launched him into the universe of Raj & DK with “The Family Man Season 3”, highlighting the character of Rukma as an unacceptable ‘family man.’
He reminisced about how swiftly everything came together after creators Raj and DK contacted him, stating, “DK sir called to inform me they aim to make this third season even grander than the previous two. They outlined the fundamental narrative, and it was a completely distinct realm.”
Jaideep conveyed his enthusiasm for the storyline, which led to his immediate agreement to join the project.
“Being part of The Family Man franchise alongside Manoj sir was an obvious choice,” Jaideep remarked.
Once he embraced the role, Rukma evolved into a character Jaideep hadn’t envisioned before.
He commented, “While reading the script, I couldn't initially visualize Rukma as he is now. Raj and DK had a specific vision for how Rukma should appear. The character exhibits a certain indifference, which gives off an inhuman vibe, but he isn't truly devoid of humanity.”
Jaideep elaborated, “Srikant can be seen as the socially accepted family man, whereas Rukma is the stark contrast—an unacceptable family man.”
The series also stars Sharib Hashmi and Priyamani. The Family Man Season 3 will be available for global streaming on Prime Video starting November 21.
