Jaideep Ahlawat Unveils the Heartwarming Trait of His Character from ‘Paatal Lok’

Mumbai, Jan 12 (NationPress) Actor Jaideep Ahlawat, who is eagerly anticipating the launch of the second season of the acclaimed streaming series ‘Paatal Lok’, has highlighted a heartwarming aspect of his principal character Hathi Ram Chaudhary in the series.

The actor interacted with IANS ahead of the show's release, revealing that the narrative has advanced by two years.

He stated, “I believe the significant factor is that the narrative has already progressed two and a half years. It's not as if they have paused where we left off in the inaugural season; their lives have also moved forward. Certain aspects have transformed while others remain unchanged. Hathi Ram Chaudhary still occupies the same chair. Therefore, nothing has altered for him in the external world, although some things have evolved within his household.”

He elaborated, “Some relationships have improved. Nonetheless, his fundamental nature remains unchanged. However, the storyline introduces numerous new challenges. It seems as though the experiences he gained from the previous narrative are proving useful here, although they are diminishing. Some elements have become more significant than that. I think his essential quality is his quest for the truth, regardless of whether he can act upon it or not. He is resolute in uncovering the truth. Many revelations await in season 2.”

‘Paatal Lok’ follows a cynical police officer, portrayed by Jaideep, who is tasked with investigating a high-profile case. As he delves into the investigation, he finds himself ensnared in the darker aspects of the criminal underworld. The series draws inspiration from traditional concepts of Swarg, Dharti, and Paatal (heaven, earth, and hell), serving as metaphors for the various social classes in India.

The second season of the show is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on January 17.
