Mumbai, July 28 (NationPress) Actress Jasmeet Kaur has made an intriguing comparison between contemporary romantic tracks and those from the 1990s, asserting that 'Old is Gold'.
In a recent conversation with IANS, when asked about the emotional depth of today's romantic songs in comparison with the classics, Jasmeet confidently stated that the romantic melodies from the 90s are truly unmatched.
"We’re building upon that rich legacy now. The groundwork laid by artists from that era enables us to craft music today. That period—featuring legends like Dharmendra ji, Amitabh ji, and Raveena ma’am—especially classics like “Tip Tip Barsa Pani”, is incomparable. Yet, it continues to motivate us and the younger generation. Its influence is very much present," she elaborated.
Recently, Jasmeet collaborated with Rishabh Jaiswal for a romantic track titled “Yeh Baarish Jab hoti hai”.
When discussing the uniqueness of this song, Jasmeet revealed, "Interestingly, “Barish” marks Rishabh’s debut song—and mine as well! Shooting amidst the rain, adorned in a red saree, felt entirely natural and charming. It added a special allure to the piece. We truly enjoyed the experience."
Reflecting on her first romantic moment in the rain, the actress recalled it was during her proposal.
"It was a beautiful walk, and that memory remains vivid," Jasmeet shared.
Meanwhile, Rishabh emphasized that emotions are the heart of the song.
"Rain evokes a multitude of feelings—it’s not limited to just one emotion. Everyone experiences it differently, and we've aimed to encapsulate that essence in this track. It’s deeply emotional," he stated.
Featuring the soulful voice of Kunal Bojewar, this monsoon anthem has been composed by Gurmeet Singh Deol.
The captivating chemistry between Jasmeet and Rishabh is trending on social media, particularly through engaging reels, thereby amplifying the excitement for this melodious release.
