Mumbai, Sep 27 (NationPress) Singer Jasmine Sandlas, recognized for her hit songs like 'Yaar Na Miley' from Kick and 'Taras Nai Aaya' from Munjya, has unveiled her latest independent single named 'POLS'.
Discussing her new track, Jasmine expressed: “POLS signifies a total reset—almost akin to a rebirth for me as an artist. It exudes the vibrancy and novelty of a debut song, even though I’ve been immersed in the music industry since 2008 when I released my initial track, 'Muskan.' Those preceding years now seem like a training phase, and with POLS, it’s finally time to shine. This song initiates a new adventure, brimming with creative enthusiasm and exploration.”
“The song is rooted in the baile funk genre, which instantly captured my heart the first time I heard the beat. This marks my initial foray into Punjabi music within the baile funk style, and it presents such an invigorating sound to delve into. For this collaboration, we brought in Foeseal, the top producer from Nepal, especially for this project. The songwriting team was exceptional, and their assistance was crucial in defining this track,” she noted.
Reflecting on her experience filming POLS, she mentioned, “The dance style for POLS is hip-hop, and I picked up the hook steps right on set—it was such a spontaneous and enjoyable experience. The incredibly talented Shloke Lal, Mandy Gill, and Harjot Kaur wrote the lyrics beautifully. The concept for the music video was devised by the director Preet Singh: set in a prison cell, I play a rebellious, carefree criminal who escapes through a tunnel, only to be captured again. That storyline added immense depth and fun to the project. Filming was a whirlwind, and I made a point to be a dedicated and attentive student on set, ensuring every detail connected our narrative seamlessly. Preet Singh is an exceptional director who guided the entire project with remarkable vision and precision. Honestly, I should include more dancing in my videos—the hook step is incredibly catchy and enjoyable!”
Jasmine revealed that the music video was executed in just one day.
“Honestly, it feels like my very first song as an artist, as if I’m embarking on an entirely new journey,” she shared.
