The procession, which started from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST) and moved to Azad Maidan, transformed Mumbai into a joyous, high-energy homage to the Super Mario universe, filled with nostalgia.
Azad Maidan was transformed into a dynamic and immersive experience, featuring a red carpet and a variety of engaging activities. Numerous fans, including influencers and children, gathered in large numbers, many dressed in iconic Mario red and blue, vividly bringing the film's universe to life.
Discussing her current practice season, she stated, “Training and preparation are going extremely well; I'm looking forward to the upcoming challenges. I hope to channel some of Mario's spirit into my game because he embodies determination, a love for challenges, and boundless energy—qualities I resonate with. So yes, I’m inspired by this experience.”
Acclaimed Hindi voice-over artists from the film, Shanoor Mirza and Ankur Javeri, were also present at the event.
Expressing her thoughts on being part of the celebration, Mirza noted, “Mario is a character who has united generations globally. Bringing him to life in Hindi has been a uniquely rewarding experience for me. Witnessing that same affection so vividly on the streets of Mumbai today felt surreal. The energy, nostalgia, and enthusiasm of the fans truly made it seem like Mario had come to India.”
