Mumbai, April 4 (NationPress) Actress Jenna Dewan lives by the mantra, “Stay calm and carry on,” which faced a real challenge during a recent trip to New York City when her outfits for a busy workday were delayed.

“I’ve learned that when chaos ensues, everything will eventually fall into place,” she shares.

“I repeatedly remind myself of that to maintain a peaceful mindset.”

For the 45-year-old mother of three, her family remains her utmost priority.

“That’s always my top focus,” she reveals, as reported by people.com.

A glance at her Instagram demonstrates this: Dewan often posts pictures of her daughter Everly, 12, whom she shares with ex-husband Channing Tatum, either cheering or competing in Irish dance events.

She also shares moments with her two younger children, born to her fiancé, actor Steve Kazee. Her son Callum, 6, is frequently seen shooting hoops, while Dewan mentions more videos of Rhiannon, 22 months, are on the horizon.

“I am definitely enrolling her in ballet class because it’s adorable,” she adds.

“Until she expresses her own preferences, we’re having a bit of ballet fun.”

Dewan humorously notes that she and Kazee “did things a bit out of order” by having children before tying the knot, but she wouldn’t change a thing: “I don’t want to slow down at all. I’m relishing every moment of my life.”

She’s also featured in The Rookie.

Dewan recalls agreeing to a “charming guest role” on the series in 2021 as it seemed enjoyable. At that time, she admits she was “dreaming” of acting in a show filmed in her hometown of Los Angeles.

“I was working on a show in Chicago, which made it really challenging to manage life with the kids,” she states.

Her dream came true when she was invited back to The Rookie as firefighter Bailey Nune, who becomes romantically involved with lead actor Nathan Fillion.

“It was the quickest, easiest 'yes' I’ve ever given,” she shares.

“It’s truly been a wonderful blessing to be part of it.”

She notes that part of the show's appeal lies in its ability to “blend various tones seamlessly.”

“We obviously incorporate suspenseful procedural elements, alongside plenty of comedy, romance, and high-quality stunts. I think viewers tune in and think, 'Wow, this show is genuinely good,' and they recommend it to others. It has developed a life of its own at this point.”

When asked about her method for managing everything, she responds, “I’m not sure there is a secret. I believe the secret is simply doing your best. I don’t think anyone achieves perfect balance.”

“Balance is about recognizing that you’re giving your all. There will be times when one aspect of your life requires more focus, and you'll need to compensate in others later.”

Kazee supports her in numerous ways.

“His nature and energy provide a grounding effect for me,” Dewan says of the actor she first met while he was performing on Broadway in Once. Six years later, following her split from Tatum, Kazee reached out to invite her for coffee.

“There’s always been a touch of magic between us,” she remarks. “It felt truly meant to be,” as reported by people.com.

The essence of their relationship is “the understanding that we are in each other’s lives for growth,” she states. However, they currently have no immediate plans to change their engagement status. When queried about a wedding after being engaged for six years, Dewan responds, “We are focusing on living in the moment and enjoying our happiness.”

She quickly adds: “And it seems we’re not the best planners!”
