Los Angeles, Dec 17 (NationPress) Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence recently recounted a comical incident involving a hallucination during her time on the set of ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’, as reported by Variety.
In a conversation with Leonardo DiCaprio, she disclosed that the peculiar episode occurred when she accidentally ingested Ambien prior to filming a scene alongside Philip Seymour Hoffman.
“You and I both have a tendency to obsess over our sleep schedules while working, constantly counting the hours,” she shared with her ‘Don’t Look Up’ co-star. “During the filming of ‘Red Sparrow’, I mistakenly took Adderall instead of a sleeping pill, leading to an all-nighter filled with panic and hot showers. I truly cannot operate without sleep. Then I had to deliver the line ‘Senate Armed Services Committee’ in a Russian accent, which was quite a challenge,” she continued.
Lawrence added, “On another occasion, I took Ambien in the morning, thinking it was something else. It happened during a dance scene with Philip Seymour Hoffman in the second Hunger Games film, and I ended up hallucinating. Elizabeth Banks was not very pleased with me.”
In response to her amusing confession, Leo referred to these episodes as “key screw-ups” in an actor’s journey. Lawrence rose to fame portraying Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games franchise, which spanned four films from 2012 to 2015.
Recently, the series has seen a resurgence with prequels like 2023’s ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ and the upcoming ‘Sunrise on the Reaping’, where Lawrence is set to reprise her role.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Lawrence and her original Hunger Games co-star Josh Hutcherson would return as Katniss and Peeta in ‘Sunrise on the Reaping’.
Details of their cameos remain under wraps, but readers familiar with the book know their characters appear alongside Haymitch in the epilogue, suggesting a potential flash-forward scenario.
Throughout various interviews, the actress has expressed her enthusiasm for reprising her iconic role of Katniss on the silver screen.
