Mumbai, Feb 24 (NationPress) The boundaries between Bollywood and the South film industry have become increasingly indistinct in recent times, with numerous actors from B-town participating in South Indian films and vice versa. In an exclusive interview with IANS, Southern actor Jiiva discussed this growing trend, stating that it is not a recent phenomenon.
When asked if the South Film industry is genuinely open to Bollywood actors, Jiiva responded, "We have always had Hindi actors. If you observe South films, you will notice many Hindi actors, particularly actresses, making their way to South India. For instance, Aishwarya Rai made her debut in 'Jeans,' which turned out to be one of the major hits. The South Indian film industry has consistently welcomed various character roles and antagonists, a practice that has been in place for the last 10 to 15 years. Especially now, with the influence of social media and the digital realm, this trend has only intensified."
On the professional front, Jiiva is set to appear in the highly anticipated drama, 'Aghathiyaa'. The production team recently launched a captivating trailer for the film, giving audiences a sneak peek into a realm filled with intrigue, fantasy, and hair-raising experiences.
