Mumbai, Jan 5 (NationPress) Actress Zarina Wahab, who is eagerly anticipating the premiere of her new film 'The Raja Saab', has expressed her reasons for becoming increasingly selective in her choices within Hindi cinema.
At a promotional event for the film held in Mumbai on Monday, she shared insights about her decision to shift her focus to South Indian cinema.
She remarked, "With over 40 years in the industry, I hail from Andhra and speak fluent Telugu, significantly better than most. Many have questioned my absence from Telugu films. While I've participated in a few, this upcoming film is garnering me greater recognition."
She went on to explain, "People in Mumbai often ask me why I focus on Telugu films. The essence of family is lost in Hindi cinema. It thrives in the South, where they continue to produce family-centric films that resonate with audiences. Currently, I'm engaged in 2-3 more Telugu projects."
