Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 28 (NationPress) The acclaimed Bengali film actor Jisshu Sengupta has refuted any claims linking his forthcoming movie ‘Bhoot Bangla’ with the renowned franchise ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, emphasizing that the two productions differ significantly in both tone and narrative.
In a candid discussion with IANS, Jisshu stated, ‘Absolutely not. I encourage you to watch it because I guarantee this is entirely distinct from Bhool Bhulaiyaa.’
He elaborated on the contrasting genres, asserting, ‘Bhoot Bangla is something else entirely. It’s a horror comedy. In contrast, Bhool Bhulaiyaa was more of a psychological thriller.’
Additionally, he mentioned, “It’s exciting to see Priyadarshan making a notable comeback, especially with Akshay Kumar after so many years.”
Jisshu humorously remarked, “Also, I wasn’t part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. However, I am featured in Bhoot Bangla.
When questioned about potential delays in the film’s release, he remarked, ‘I am unaware of any changes. The release date is clearly stated as the 10th on the posters, and that’s what it is.’
Jisshu will star in ‘Bhoot Bangla’, alongside Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, and Rajpal Yadav.
This film, directed by Priyadarshan, is slated for release on April 10.
With a strong foothold in Bengali cinema, Jisshu Sengupta is also expanding his presence in the Hindi film industry.
