This iconic film series commenced over 30 years ago with ‘Jurassic Park’. During a presentation by Universal Pictures, director Gareth Edwards welcomed an eager audience at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace.
According to People, actor Mahershala Ali also participated in the Universal Focus Features event. Johansson expressed, "It has been a lifelong dream to be part of a Jurassic movie for the last 15 years. Each time I learned about a new movie, I would reach out and say, 'I’m available'". She mentioned her willingness to portray any character.
Edwards shared similar feelings, stating that it was the "honor of a lifetime" to contribute to this seventh film in the ‘Jurassic Park’ series.
Regarding his inspiration for participating, he humorously noted, "I had a rare childhood condition that drove me to watch 'Jurassic Park' at least 10 times a year. For years, I thought there was no hope for a cure until I received a miraculous email last year with a screenplay attached".

Edwards aimed for the audience to experience the film as a "roller coaster ride". In this installment, Johansson stars alongside Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, and David Iacano.
The narrative follows the skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett (played by Scarlett Johansson) as she leads a team on a clandestine mission to secure the genetic material of the world's three largest dinosaurs.
