Mumbai, Nov 14 (NationPress) Esteemed actress Kamini Kaushal recently shared her thoughts on her former relationship with the iconic actor Dilip Kumar in her memoir.

She provided an honest look into the personal experiences that influenced her life. The actress discussed the heartbreak they both endured upon their separation. In her biography, Kamini expressed that they had formed a profound connection and enjoyed a joyful relationship together, but unforeseen circumstances led to their breakup.

Kamini elaborated that she could never end things abruptly, particularly with her family involved, and expressed gratitude for her husband’s understanding of the situation. “We were both devastated. We were very content with each other. We had a wonderful bond. But such is life. I couldn’t just abandon others and say ‘That’s it, I’m leaving!’ I had taken on the role of a caretaker. I wouldn’t be able to face my sister. My husband, a remarkable person, comprehended why it unfolded this way. Everyone experiences love,” she shared.

Interestingly, in his own memoir, Dilip Kumar also noted his feelings for Kamini Kaushal during their time working together. He referred to her as his first love. Years later, Dilip reminisced about his first heartbreak in Bunny Reuben’s biography, “Dilip Kumar – Star Legend of Indian Cinema.” He recalled, “She (Kamini) was the only person with whom I felt complete unity. I believe everyone loves only once. 'Again' - if there is an 'again' - is just a shadow of that brilliant flame, the dazzling light, the days of ecstasy, the nights of longing, and the moments of happiness that seem too good to last.”

Reports suggest that Kamini Kaushal was indeed Dilip Kumar's first love. The legendary actors collaborated in three films: “Shaheed,” “Shabnam,” and “Nadiya Ke Paar.” While Dilip Kumar rarely spoke about his emotions publicly, celebrated novelist Ismat Chughtai disclosed that he was profoundly in love with Kamini.
