Kamya Punjabi discusses her upcoming project centered around menopause: “Being a part of ‘Me No Pause Me Play’ is a responsibility.”

Aiming to challenge stereotypes and foster essential dialogues, the trailer for ‘Me No Pause Me Play’, featuring Kamya Punjabi, has gone viral on social media. Directed by Samar K. Mukherjee and penned and produced by author Manoj Kumar Sharma, this film is heralded as India’s first significant feature tackling the theme of menopause. It boasts a strong ensemble cast, including Deepshikha Nagpal, Sudha Chandran, Manoj Kumar Sharma, Amiee Misobbah, Karan Chhabra, and Aman Verma.

In comments to IANS, Kamya Punjabi expressed her commitment to breaking the stigma and promoting societal acceptance of menopause. She stated, “When I heard the story, it felt like someone had finally articulated the feelings many women keep to themselves. Being part of ‘Me No Pause Me Play’ transcends mere acting for me—it’s a duty. Menopause is discussed far too infrequently, and this film finally gives it the attention it warrants.
