  • The Congress party is struggling for relevance.
  • The NDA has achieved a significant electoral victory.
  • The public is looking for development-oriented governance.
  • Tejashwi Yadav's leadership faced criticism.

Noida, Nov 15 (NationPress) BJP MP Mahesh Sharma expressed on Saturday that the recent Bihar election outcomes have reinforced the belief of the Bihar populace in the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while the Congress struggles for its survival.

“The residents of Bihar have once again shown their steadfast confidence in PM Modi’s forward-thinking leadership and development-focused governance,” he stated in an interview with IANS.

Sharma emphasized that this electoral outcome reflects Bihar’s confidence in the dual-engine administration of PM Modi and Nitish Kumar.

“The Congress has not only faced defeat in Bihar but has also lost ground in numerous states nationwide as it grapples with its relevance as a political entity,” the BJP MP remarked to IANS the day after the NDA achieved a significant victory in the Bihar Assembly elections.

He predicted that the Congress would continue to face further losses in the future.

“Increasingly, people are beginning to believe that the Congress may soon come to an end. The results from Bihar are indicative of this trend, where the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) experienced a substantial defeat,” he asserted.

Regarding the Congress leadership, Sharma remarked that under the leadership of the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, they have been persistently losing elections.

“It is up to the Congress to decide about their leadership. That responsibility lies with his (Rahul Gandhi’s) party members. Rahul Gandhi is not a leader of our party; he leads the Congress, so they should consider his position,” he stated.

Sharma insisted that the Congress outcomes under LoP Rahul Gandhi are a matter for the party members to contemplate.

On the major defeat faced by the Mahagathbandhan led by Tejashwi Yadav in the Bihar elections, the BJP MP claimed that Tejashwi Yadav has brought with him a legacy characterized by “jungle raj,” “corruption,” “arrogance,” and “misrule.”

“It will take generations to cleanse the Congress. This time, the people of Bihar have made it clear that they intend to advance on the path of development and not revert to the governance they experienced two decades ago,” he concluded.

Point of View

The recent Bihar election results underscore a significant shift in voter sentiment towards the ruling party, reflecting a broader trend in Indian politics. The challenges faced by Congress highlight the need for introspection and strategic rethinking within the party as it navigates an increasingly competitive political landscape.
