Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut marked her first-ever Teej celebration at the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on 13 August, sharing glimpses of the festivities on social media and describing the occasion as a deeply personal and homely experience.

Dressed in a vibrant green and orange Paithani saree paired with a statement choker, matching earrings, bangles, a red bindi, and fresh mehendi, Kangana was seen dancing with other women, applying mehendi, and posing with CM Rekha Gupta on a flower-decorated swing.

Sharing a series of pictures from the event, Kangana wrote in Hindi — roughly translated: 'Meri pehli Teej ka tyohaar, Rekha didi ke ghar pe, sach mein ek badi bahen ka payaar aur dular bilkul ghar jaisa apnapan. Sabko teej ki anek shubhkamnaein.' In essence, she described the warmth of an elder sister's love and extended Teej greetings to all.

Actor Piyush Mishra subsequently questioned which 'dogs' with 'bones in their mouths' were silent during the Jharkhand protests, drawing Kangana into the debate.
