Mumbai, Sep 10 (NationPress) As the legal confrontation surrounding the estate of the late industrialist Sunjay Kapur intensifies, his third wife Priya Sachdev previously claimed that Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor and her children had already received assets amounting to INR 1900 crore.
However, sources from IANS have disclosed that these assertions lack any basis in fact. Reports indicate that the management of these assets resides with Priya Kapur in the RK family trust, leaving Karisma Kapoor’s children without access. Further complicating matters, the court was informed by Priya Sachdev Kapur’s legal counsel that the purported will remains unregistered.
A notable succession dispute has surfaced, leading the Delhi High Court to step in regarding the late industrialist Sunjay Kapur’s estate, which is estimated to be worth nearly INR 30,000 crore. His children, Samaira and Kiaan, represented by their mother Karisma Kapoor, have raised concerns of will suppression and forgery, following the emergence of a will just seven weeks after his passing, contradicting prior statements that no such document existed.
During today’s proceedings, Justice Jyoti Singh directly questioned Priya Kapur about the omission of the will from the children, ordering her to disclose all movable and immovable assets belonging to Sunjay as of June 12, 2025. Adding to the intrigue, it was revealed that Rani Kapur, Sunjay’s mother, had sent over 15 unanswered emails to Priya seeking clarification on the will.
As of now, the children have not been provided with a copy of the will nor any details regarding their father’s personal assets. These recent developments are prompting critical questions about transparency, fairness, and the rights of children in inheritance disputes—issues that extend well beyond this single family.
The will, dated a mere 11 weeks prior to Sunjay’s unexpected death, allegedly bequeaths his entire personal estate to his third wife, Priya Kapur, effectively excluding his children.
