Filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj is set to collaborate with legendary music composer Ilaiyaraaja for an upcoming untitled Tamil feature film — a pairing that marks both a career milestone and a long-awaited creative union. The project will be Karthik Subbaraj's 10th directorial venture and Ilaiyaraaja's 1,540th film as a composer.

Karthik Subbaraj has long been among the most distinctive voices in contemporary Indian cinema, and an avowed admirer of Ilaiyaraaja's body of work.
