Chennai, Jan 24 (NationPress) On the solemn occasion of his beloved daughter's death anniversary, music maestro Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja has expressed plans to commemorate Bhavatharini with a special event on February 12, her birthday.

In a heartfelt audio clip shared on his X timeline, Ilaiyaraaja reflected on his late daughter.

He shared, “This marks the day my beloved daughter departed from us. It was only after her absence that I truly realized how much she embodied love.”

Ilaiyaraaja lamented, stating that his dedication to music had led him to overlook his children, saying,

“The remorse of not having paid adequate attention to my children now weighs on me. When I consider that this pain has transformed into the soul-stirring music enjoyed by many, I find some solace.”

He further noted, “On Bhavatharini's birthday, which is on February 12, her ‘Thithi’ occurs. We are contemplating an event that combines both occasions in her honor. I invite all musicians to join us in this tribute. I pray to the Almighty for my daughter’s eternal peace.”

The gentle-voiced Bhavatharini, who was the only daughter of the renowned music director Ilaiyaraaja, was a National Award laureate.
