Chennai, Jan 17 (NationPress) Director Shiv Mohaa's highly anticipated romantic thriller 'Aasai', starring Kathir and Divya Bharathi, is set to premiere globally on March 6 this year, as confirmed by the filmmakers on Saturday.

The first look poster of the film was also unveiled during this announcement.

Passion Studios, the production company behind the film, took to their X timeline to share the poster and the release date, stating: "A love story wrapped in suspense… #Aasai releasing in theatres on March 6th."

The captivating first look poster conveys the film's raw intensity, featuring Kathir in glasses with cracked lenses and Divya Bharathi gazing intimately, their faces nearly touching against a sultry red backdrop. This visual suggests a romantic thriller filled with desire and danger.

For those unfamiliar, Shiv Mohaa, the film's director, is acclaimed for his debut film 'Zero'.

Regarding 'Aasai', Shiv Mohaa shared, "This romantic thriller was filmed entirely in Chennai over 25 days. The film features two songs composed by Revaa. The title 'Aasai' reflects how the couple becomes ensnared in a complex web due to their modest desires."

He also praised his producer and lead cast, saying, "I feel fortunate to have a supportive producer like Sudhan Sundaram. Kathir has given an exceptional performance, and audiences will witness a new side of Divya Bharathi in 'Aasai'."

Other cast members such as Lingaa Dheena, Poorna, and Alexandar Samy have also delivered remarkable performances, according to the director.
