Los Angeles, April 3 (NationPress) Reality star Khloe Kardashian has highlighted the parenting double standards exhibited by her sister Kim Kardashian.
In this week's episode of ‘The Kardashians’, Khloe, Kim, and their mother Kris Jenner embark on a camping trip, or rather glamping, in an RV to Joshua Tree. During their journey to the desert, Kim receives a call from her daughter North, aged 11, who is currently in China with her father Kanye West for a concert, as reported by ‘People’ magazine.
“Oh, North just texted me,” Kim exclaims as her daughter begins to FaceTime. “North! We’re camping. We’re camping! You have service.”
“Oh my Gosh. I don’t even know if I slept,” North can be heard saying. “You don’t even know if you’ve slept? Oh no! That is jet lag,” Kim replies.
According to ‘People’, Kim discusses her role as a momager in her confessional, expressing that she feels unprepared to fully embrace that position.
“I’m not quite ready to be a momager. After The Lion King, North received a project offer, but it’s in London,” Kim explains. “So then I’m like, okay, then I would have to take a week off from filming and accompany her on set. I still have a career. Should I have my mom go with North?”
Returning to the scene, Kim shows North around the RV while continuing their conversation for hours, which leads to annoyance from her sister and mother, who reference a previous conflict between Kim and Khloe.
“Seriously, you’re the one who not even a year ago criticized me for saying goodnight to my child,” Khloe states in her confessional. “And you are on the phone with North for several hours.”
“This is exactly what you chastised Khloe for doing. This is the pot calling the kettle black,” Kris comments in a confessional. “Yep.”
As the scene transitions back to the RV, Kris visibly grows frustrated with Kim after she spends a significant portion of the trip on the phone with her children.
“Okay, well, we’re almost there, and we’ve spent more than half of the trip talking to your children,” Kris tells Kim. “Which, I love listening to my grandkids, don’t get me wrong, but you gave Khloe so much trouble for checking in with her kids.”
