He offered insights into the final moments of the legendary star, shedding light on the serene and dignified manner in which Manoj Kumar departed from this life. Goswami recounted the early morning at 4:30 AM when he found his father unwell, a condition he had been grappling with for an extended period. He expressed to IANS, “I woke up at 4.30 in the morning. He was unwell. He had been unwell for a long time. We were praying that his pain would lessen and eventually disappear. The doctors made numerous efforts. Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital provided tremendous support. His staff were incredibly helpful as well.”

Kunal Goswami further stated, “We are grateful to them. They cared for him deeply. There was considerable pain. Yet, he passed away peacefully. When organs begin to fail, it brings pain. You can't find solace in anything. However, in the end, I believe it was more related to the heart. There is a way to leave this world. Everyone must eventually depart. While there is pain, he left us in peace. I am thankful to God for that. Yes. Tomorrow, we will leave the hospital at 9, return home at 10, and proceed to Pawan Hans for cremation at 11. Yes, I cherish his films.”

Discussing the illustrious actor’s legacy, his son mentioned, “You can watch his films. The term Bharat is being referenced once again in today’s context, whether politically or in parliament. This is a positive development. I am grateful that Bharat is on the rise again. Yes. I express my gratitude to him abundantly. In truth, he has forged such karma and spirit. Those who wish to downplay it will do so. I also extend my thanks to Modi ji.”

Manoj Kumar is set to be laid to rest tomorrow, with his cremation scheduled at Pawan Hans.

On Friday, the legendary actor passed away at the age of 87 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, having been admitted there on February 21 due to a significant decline in health.

In a statement, Dr. Santosh Shetty, CEO and Executive Director at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital, remarked, “Veteran actor Shri Manoj Kumarji passed away peacefully at the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital early this morning at approximately 3:30 AM due to age-related health complications.
