Chennai, Jan 28 (NationPress) Music director Leon James continued his dedication to work even after facing the profound loss of his father. He aimed to ensure that the Dragon unit delivered a song to its fans punctually. In a heartfelt message directed towards the film’s director Ashwath Marimuthu, Leon expressed that it was his duty to uphold Ashwath’s commitment, as Ashwath had supported him when no one else would.

In a concise message posted on X, Leon, whose father passed away on Monday morning, responded to Ashwath with, “You stood for me when nobody did, macha. It was my responsibility to honor your promise. Thank you for the incredible performance, @SilambarasanTR_sir! You were phenomenal. Hope everyone enjoys it.”

On Tuesday evening, shortly after the much-anticipated breakup track ‘Yendi Vittu Pona’ from the film ‘Dragon’ was released, Director Ashwath Marimuthu provided insight into the circumstances surrounding it.

Ashwath revealed that Leon’s father had passed away early that morning while the final mix of the song was being finalized.

Describing the tragic event as a shock, Ashwath mentioned his offer to delay the song's release, which was scheduled for Tuesday evening.

However, Leon insisted, saying, “No macha, let’s adhere to the ‘TIME’ we promised.”

Reflecting on the emotional situation, Ashwath noted, “Leon was mixing the song in his room while simultaneously managing his father’s final rites in the hall! I kept this from the production team. That’s the respect he holds for TIME, FANS, and the audience who cherish cinema. Isn’t @leon_james a gem? Dedicating ‘En de vittu pona’ to his father!”
