Los Angeles, Feb 13 (NationPress) Hollywood actress Blake Lively‘s legal team has filed a request for Justin Baldoni‘s phone records, aiming to bolster their claims that he initiated a smear campaign against her.

The actress has taken legal action against her ‘It Ends With Us’ director and co-star, asserting that he, along with his publicists and associates, defamed her online as retribution for her allegations of sexual harassment during filming, as reported by Variety.

Lively’s attorneys already possess a substantial number of text messages from the phone of Jennifer Abel, one of Baldoni’s publicists. These messages reveal discussions about attempting to “bury” and “destroy” Blake Lively, yet may not fully illustrate how such a campaign was executed.

According to Variety, the actress’ legal representatives have issued subpoenas to three mobile carriers—AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile—requesting records related to Baldoni, producer Jamey Heath, and billionaire Wayfarer Studios co-founder Steve Sarowitz. The subpoenas also encompass the phone records of Abel and publicist Melissa Nathan.

“The phone records of all the individual defendants will reveal the complete network of people involved in the smear campaign against Blake Lively,” stated a spokesperson for the actress. “These records will yield essential and undeniable evidence, clarifying not just who was involved, but also the timing, locations, and methods of their retaliation strategy.”

Bryan Freedman, Baldoni’s attorney, commented that Lively is requesting call logs, text messages, and location data dating back over two years. “This extensive fishing expedition reflects their desperate search for any factual foundation for their demonstrably false allegations,” he remarked. “They will uncover nothing.”

Lively’s legal team has also sent subpoenas to two internet service providers, Cloudflare and AOL, in addition to Jed Wallace, a crisis consultant accused of orchestrating a “digital army” against Lively on Baldoni’s behalf. Wallace has denied any involvement and has filed a defamation lawsuit against Lively.
