Los Angeles, April 15 (NationPress) Hollywood star Anthony Mackie believes that “Avengers: Doomsday” will transport fans back to the glorious era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Mackie, who portrayed Sam Wilson in February's “Captain America: Brave New World”, hinted in a discussion with IGN that the Russo Brothers' new blockbuster marks a comeback for the Marvel franchise, as reported by variety.com.

Mackie expressed, “We’re slated to go out this week, and we’ll be out there doing it. Everyone’s thrilled. I truly believe that with the script and the Russo brothers back, it’s going to be phenomenal.”

He added, “I’m very eager for what this project will bring. It’s going to deliver that classic Marvel experience that fans have always cherished.”

“Avengers: Doomsday,” set to premiere on May 1, 2026, boasts an impressive lineup of beloved Marvel heroes. Confirmed cast members include Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, the new Falcon, Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier, and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man. Additionally, former Marvel icon Robert Downey Jr. is making his return for “Doomsday”.
