Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chennai, April 2 (NationPress) Actress Malavika Mohanan, currently involved in director Thiagarajan Kumararaja's upcoming project 'Pocket Novel', has recently shared her newfound affection for Mumbai.
She revealed that a serene sunset boat ride in Mumbai significantly deepened her love for the city.
In a recent post on her Instagram, the actress reflected on her experiences throughout March, stating, "March was quite a rollercoaster for me. The standout moment? Filming for 'Pocket Novel' under the guidance of Thiagarajan Kumararaja, one of the most talented filmmakers of our time. Observing his creative process and receiving his mentorship has been an unforgettable experience in my career. (I’ll share more details about this later; it’s a lengthy story)."
She elaborated on her time spent in Chennai, where she was engaged in shooting.
"I dedicated the majority of the month to the Chennai shoot. While the work was exceptional, being away from home for an extended period affected me more than I anticipated. Returning to an empty room after a long day never becomes easier, contrary to what one might think. I found myself struggling with feelings of loneliness this time around," she shared.
"When my family came to visit for a few days, it felt like a breath of fresh air. We explored beautiful temples in Chennai and Mahabalipuram, indulged in local delicacies, and it was heartwarming to be with them. Especially since my grandmother joined us, which is a rare occurrence," she reminisced.
"I returned to Mumbai a few days ago after spending most of the month away, and I embarked on a delightful sunset boat ride shortly after. The colors of the sky were stunning, the ocean breeze was revitalizing, and the calming waves were a perfect remedy. That evening, coupled with the overwhelming feeling of missing home, made me appreciate Mumbai even more," she concluded.
