Bhopal, Feb 15 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is set to launch the 'Rudra Sagar Setu' in Ujjain, a significant religious hub in Madhya Pradesh, this Saturday. The bridge, measuring approximately 200 meters, is linked to the 'Shakti path', one of the primary access points to Mahakal Lok. This development is part of the second phase of the Mahakal Lok corridor and aims to provide an additional route. Beyond enhancing accessibility, the bridge, constructed at a cost exceeding Rs 22 crore, will also refresh the aesthetics of the location. Visitors to Mahakal Lok, who come to pay their respects to Lord Shiva, will enjoy scenic views from the 20-foot-high bridge, which features ample space for public gatherings.
The inauguration of this bridge will facilitate easier access for devotees during the upcoming Maha Shivratri, when numerous followers of Lord Shiva will flock from various parts of the nation. During his visit to Ujjain, Chief Minister Yadav will participate in several public events and launch multiple projects across the city.
Reports indicate that the Chief Minister will also perform 'bhumi pujan' for a food court complex along the Ujjain-Devas road, along with two irrigation-related projects.
Additionally, he will inaugurate several road development projects within the city. The infrastructure of Ujjain is undergoing rapid enhancements in anticipation of the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, scheduled for 2028. The Chief Minister has emphasized that facilitating the Simhastha event is a primary objective for the state government.
The state government has commenced preparations for the grandest Hindu gathering, held once every twelve years in Ujjain, with numerous vital projects announced in the preceding two months. All 13 Akharas of saints and seers will sequentially take a ritual dip, for which extensive arrangements are being made along the banks of the Shipra river. The government anticipates that over 10 crore individuals will visit Ujjain.
