Mamta Kulkarni, the Iconic Star of the '90s, Returns to Mumbai After 25 Years

Mumbai, Dec 4 (NationPress) The beloved actress from the '90s, Mamta Kulkarni, has returned to Mumbai, India after a long absence of 24 years, and she expressed that she feels incredibly overwhelmed.
A selfie video was posted on her Instagram account, “mamtakulkarniofficial____.” In this clip, the former star stated: “Hello everyone, this is Mamta Kulkarni, and I have just arrived in India, Bombay, Mumbai, Aamchi Mumbai after 25 years.”
She reminisced about her journey, saying, “I feel very nostalgic about the entire experience of leaving India in 2000, and now in 2024, I am back.”
“I am truly overwhelmed and find it hard to convey my feelings. I became emotional when the flight was landing; as I looked out the window, I saw my country from above after 24 long years, and tears filled my eyes. As soon as I stepped outside Mumbai International Airport, I felt an immense wave of emotions again.”
Despite her heartfelt return, Mamta did not disclose the reasons behind her return to India.
Mamta starred in various commercially successful Hindi films, including Ram Lakhan, Waqt Hamara Hai, Krantiveer, Karan Arjun, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Andolan, and Baazi. Her last Bollywood film was released in 2002.
Her film from 1995, Karan Arjun, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Kajol, was re-released in Hindi cinema on November 22. The film narrates the saga of two brothers seeking revenge against their greedy uncle for their father's murder, only to be killed and reincarnated to fulfill their quest for vengeance.
Regarding her controversies, in 2016, the Thane Police implicated her as one of the accused in a case involving the supply of ephedrine for the illicit production of methamphetamine in a ₹2000 crore international drug trafficking operation.
Reports indicated that she, along with her partner Vicky Goswami and other co-defendants, participated in a meeting concerning an international drug ring in Kenya in January 2016.
